Tom Ford Debuts Bois Pacifique Fragrance with John David Washington

The new campaign features SAG & Golden Globe-nominated actor in Big Sur in Northern California.

Tom Ford tapped Golden Globe-nominated actor John David Washington to introduce its new signature fragrance, Bois Pacifique. See the video below.

Currently starring in the film adaptation of August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson” for Netflix, Washington made his debut in 2015 for the HBO show “Ballers.” He has also starred in Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman,” Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet,” Sam Levinson’s “Malcolm & Marie,” David O. Russell’s “Amsterdam,” and Gareth Edwards’ “The Creator.”

About the Fragrance—Bois Pacifique

“Bois” means “woods” in French. Bois Pacifique is a wody spicy scent featuring sandalwood, cedar, and oakwood notes, along with cardamom, akigalawood, and turmeric.

The fragrance campaign debuted on January 21st. It features Washington immersing himself in the grandeur of Big Sur in Northern California, reflecting the fragrance’s signature notes.

The Campaign Features a Writer’s Journey

Directed by British fashion photographer David Sims, the campaign depicts a writer’s journey.

“The pursuit for inner peace takes Washington on an epic journey to a place where profound beauty and self-discovery converge—a place where he finds himself within the power of the ancient redwoods,” the press release states.

The video—featuring beautiful imagery of Big Sur and Redwoods—ends with the line, “I came to see what lies beyond the woods.” Watch it below.
